Based on other reviews and horror stories regarding Norton AV, I downloaded and installed the free trial version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0. The result was crashes every time it got to the System Volume Information folder which required a hard boot to recover from. I chose the old version because of bad reviews of the 2010 edition. It seemed to work as expected, so I purchased the product and performed a full system scan of my computer. I uninstalled it, chalked it up to experience, and installed Clam Free Anti Virus. No more Kaspersky for me.
Tried all the mass produced hype anti-virus, been blind billed by the top selling version only to have problems. This is the answer. It does what it says it does without the hype and behind the back billing practices. A good reliable product that stays updated without eating up your memory.both on the computer and in your mind worrying about it working or not.
This stopped my computer dead. It was the worst software I have ever bought.
I received this product exactly how it was described to me, new in the box, and I installed it right away. It has done a great job for my computer. Thank you.
I let it sit there for a while until finally taking it to one of my buddies who works on computers. When I received it I immediately installed it into my fairly new laptop. I was very excited about getting Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0. He told me the program slows the program and recommended a different system that is ad effective without the hassles. At the time I was going into my second year with the laptop, so it had more than enough memory and speed to process the program. However, immediately after installing the program, my laptop went S L O W. After removing it, I haven't had any issues with my laptop. Unfortunately I waited around to long to get my money back.
